What is the Pocket Mirror app, and how can I use the app?

The Pocket Mirror app turns your smartphone into a digital mirror, which you can use to check your look quickly and easily. After downloading the app, you can use it without registration.

When does the Pocket Mirror app collect personal data about me?

The Pocket Mirror app does not collect or process any personal data about you at any time. No data is collected or processed, neither about you as a user of the app nor about your device.

Other data collection and processing in conjunction with the Pocket Mirror app

App download

If you download the Pocket Mirror app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, personal data will be processed. This data processing is done exclusively by the operator of the respective store.

Providing updates

The Pocket Mirror app uses a procedure to regularly check whether updates are available for the app. To do this, the app requests update information via HTTPS from Expo when the app is opened on the end users' device. If a new update is available, the new update is sent to the end users' device. These requests do not contain identifying information, such as unique device identifiers. The request contains non-identifying information that is necessary for the correct processing of the update request, including the operating system of the end users' device, the project ID of the developer and a random token that is used to determine whether an installation of the app has requested an update. The connection data and information generated in the process are processed exclusively by Expo: https://expo.dev.

Displaying the license information of third-party software

The Pocket Mirror app uses some free third-party open source software libraries. These libraries and their license information are displayed in the app. When retrieving the license information, a request is made via HTTPS to GitHub, as the license information is hosted there. The resulting connection data and information are processed exclusively by GitHub: https://github.com.
